Nesthopping is a private community built on mutual trust, respect, and care. Every member is expected to uphold these standards to keep the network safe and welcoming for all families.
Honesty and Accuracy
Provide truthful information in your profile, family details, and home listing. Misrepresenting your identity, home, or circumstances undermines the trust that makes this community work. Keep your listing photos, descriptions, and availability up to date.
Respect and Non-Discrimination
Treat every member with respect regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability. Discriminatory language, harassment, intimidation, or hostility of any kind is not tolerated and will result in immediate account suspension.
Care for Homes
The Mirror Effect is the foundation of Nesthopping: care for another family's home as if it were your own. Leave homes clean and in the condition you found them. Report any damage or issues promptly and honestly. Respect house rules, quiet hours, shared spaces, and neighbors.
Communication
Respond to messages and proposals in a timely manner. Be clear about your expectations, availability, and any limitations before finalizing an exchange. If plans change, communicate early so the other family can adjust.
Safety and Security
Never share login credentials or sensitive personal information through the platform. Do not use the platform for commercial subletting, short-term rental arbitrage, or any purpose other than genuine home exchanges between families. Report suspicious behavior or safety concerns to our team immediately.
Compliance
Ensure your home exchange complies with local laws, lease terms, homeowners' association rules, and insurance requirements. Maintain adequate home insurance and inform your provider about exchange activity if required. Nesthopping does not verify legal permissions on your behalf.
Account Integrity
Each person may have only one Nesthopping account. Do not create multiple accounts for any reason, including to earn additional NestCredits, exploit referral programs, or circumvent a suspension. Do not share your login credentials with anyone or allow another person to use your account. Violations of account integrity are treated as serious breaches and may result in permanent exclusion from the community.
Enforcement
Violations of these standards may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent exclusion from the community. Nesthopping reviews reports fairly and provides explanations for actions taken, except where doing so would compromise safety or an ongoing investigation.
